Airports

Believe it or not, east/west coast friends, Peoria is accessible by both ground and air!?  (and water, too, if you try really hard...) =-p

The closest airport will be the Greater Peoria Regional Airport (code "PIA").  Both hotels we're working with have free shuttles to/from the airport.

Another relatively close option is the Central Illinois Regional Airport ("BMI") in Bloomington/Normal - about 30-45 minutes from downtown Peoria.  (Airlines: AirTran, American, Delta)

The bigger airports within a 3-hour radius are Chicago O'Hare ("ORD"), Chicago Midway ("MDW"), St. Louis Lambert ("STL"), and Indianapolis ("IND").
